About the Event
Supported by the Embassy of Ireland Singapore and St. Patrick's Society Singapore we are delighted to be participating in this year's Global Solidarity Run.
The Global Solidarity Run will bring people around the world together in October 2026 to show solidarity with all those who are forcibly displaced and those living in extreme poverty. Organised by Sanctuary Runners, this is a unique event where people can run, jog or walk any distance as part of one global team. #footprintsforsolidarity
The Global Solidarity Run is an initiative by Sanctuary Runners, an Irish Solidarity-Through-Sport movement, and in keeping with Ireland’s new International Sports Diplomacy Strategy (specifically goal 3 - ‘to support international sporting partnerships and cooperation in line with Ireland’s values and interests’) the Global Solidarity Run 2026 will bring together a wide range of partners including Missions of Ireland and other countries across the world, the European Commission, multilateral organisations such as the UNHCR and the Olympic Refuge Foundation Also sporting organisations such as World Athletics, the London Marathon Group and GAA International.
Join us on 7th October at The Promontory @Marina Bay for an unofficial walk, run or jog.
Meeting point - The Promontory @ Marina Bay. Closest MRT - Downtown (Exit E- Central Boulevard)
We will be there from 730pm to start walking/running at 8pm.
We will have t-shirts for most but if you can, wear blue 🩵
Attendees at the St. Patrick's Society AGM can collect their t-shirts on the night
Join us at Harry's Bar, 1 Marina Boulevard for a drink after the event.
Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends.
(This is a kid-friendly and dog-friendly walk.)
