Christmas Party 2023
Once the excitement of Santa's arrival and the presents 🎁 had been distributed and photos taken, the elves from Fizzazle got the party into full swing with some christmas decorations, key rings and dance party. The children sang Santa some of their favourite Christmas songs before he headed back to the North Pole. It was a fantastic success. 🎅🏼
Christmas Bazaar 2023
What a fantastic event to kick off the festive season and support local businesses as well as the wonderful LOVE,NILS charity. There was lots of Christmas gift ideas from some of our favourite vendors, carols by Stamford American choir, festive treats and bubbles, along with much craic and merriment.
St. Patrick's Society AGM 2023
This year's AGM was even more memorable than most as we welcome our new President Sorcha Boyce. There was lots of celebrations and 'just one more' as we said our many thanks to Joy Flanagan who has presided over the society for the past three years. While Joy is stepping down as president we are happy to say she is staying on as a committee member.
Family Fun at West Coast Park - July 29th 2023
Some of our younger members and their a parents joined us for a morning of fun at West Coast Park. There was climbing, swinging, zipping, sliding, giggling, chatting and making friends. Coffees, and ice creams were the flavour of the day as well as oodles of water, it was hot hot hot!
St. Patrick's Day Parade - March 19th 2023
We painted Singapore green for our first St. Patrick's Day Parade post covid. The Irish community and friends were out in force to celebrate our fun family event.
New Year Bukit Timah Walk - 7th January 2023
Our Monthly Social took to the hills this month. To start the year with great intentions (we all have them!) a group of intrepid friends and families stepped out onto one of Singapore's unique walks from Buona Vista MRT along the Rail Corridor to Bukit Timah Truss Bridge and back. A coffee stop was a must after for chats about festive shenanigans.

Children's Christmas Party - December 3rd 2022
Our youngest members had their first in person event since covid restrictions relaxed and they really let themselves run wild! There was delicious party foods for the children and their parents. While waiting for the guest of honour, Santa Claus, the children were entertained with a toy making workshop and colouring. Christmas BBQ at the Ritz Carlton - December 2nd 2022
St Patrick's Society was delighted to join with the Singapore Irish Chamber of Commerce for an outstanding evening of food and entertainment. The BBQ is a hugely popular annual event with exclusive prizes and festive offerings. This is no ordinary BBQ. As we move into the Christmas season, this is a night not to be missed in the social calendar.
Christmas Charity Bazaar - November 17th 2022
We had a fantastic night at our Charity Christmas Bazaar last night. Thank you to all our vendors, thank you to Ambassador McGrath and her team from the Embassy and from the Residence, thank you to Stamford American Choir who entertained us with their Christmas Carols. AGM - October 26th 2022
It was fantastic to get back to an in person AGM after the hiatus of the last 2 years. We welcomed in new committee members and thanked leaving members, Jean, Simon and Conor. See our meet the committee page to get to know our new committee members. After the business side of things were over we were entertained by Gerry Cox Irish Inspirational Dance and got to meet some of our members.

Virtual St. Patrick's Day Parade March 17 2022
As part of our St Patrick’s Day Festivities this year we launched a St Patrick’s Day Photo parade on social media.
Using the hashtag:

Our members and friends posted photos and videos of their St. Patrick's Day costumes and festive fun on Facebook and Instagram.
So that despite the restrictions we still came together as a community, to connect and have some fun. Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh, Happy St. Patrick's Day to you all and thank you to everyone who sent their photos to us or used #wearyourgreenforstpats2022 on social media.
St. Patrick's Day Children's Celebration - #wearyourgreenforstpats2022
We were super excited to announce our St. Patrick's Day Celebration for our younger members and friends.
We brought the fun and craic of the St. Patrick's Day parade and festivities to you!
On the big day itself March 17th at 4pm we had a St. Patrick's themed party via zoom with the fantastic Fizazzle. This hour-long event had themed storytelling, games, dances and fun. For those who couldn't attend on the day, we shared access to the recording of the various sections of the party.
All households who signed up received a party pack with green, white and orange balloons, streamers, shamrock bunting making kit, small Irish flag, clues for a treasure hunt for leprechaun's chocolate gold coins (small bag of chocolate coins per child). Each child received tattoos, stickers, pencil, and leprechaun craft. A personalised letter sent to the family provided instructions for the crafts as well as a link to downloadable themed colouring sheets, St. Patrick's Day cards, word search, recipes for shamrock scones and shamrock cookies.
International Women's Day Ladies Night - March 9th 2022
St Patrick’s Society Singapore invited to invite our members to an International Women's Day ladies' night.
Tables were in groups of 5 in multiple venues around Boat Quay in accordance with Singapore government Social Distancing regulations. We dressed to impress and had a fantastic time and a well deserved ladies night out.
Celtic Societies Asian Whisky Tasting - February 17th 2022
Our 2nd whiskey tasting with St. David's and St. Andrew's Societies was indeed a celebration of Asian Whisky. Each whisky was introduced with some interesting background stories, as well as discussions around the tasting notes and flavours.
We got to taste; Amrut Fusion - India, Kavalan Port Cask - Taiwan, Starwards Fortis - Australia, Hibiki Harmony - Japan and Yamazaki Distillers Reserve - Japan.
The Hibiki Harmony was the favourite of what was a great evening of Celtic craic.
Rugby & Rum - February 5th 2022
Rugby & Rum… a perfect combination, Ireland v Wales … 5th February
We teamed up with our Nemeses (for rugby) St David's Welsh Society of Singapore and Rockpool Rum to have a bit of craic and watch the 6 Nations.
The lovely people at Rockpool Rum are sponsoring our event and will supply our Social Hubs with rum for the night.

Santa Claus Visit

Ho Ho Ho, Santa and his elves are practicing social distancing again this year, and are inviting all boys and girls to meet with him virtually on a video call. You should have received your invitation to register by now, so please get in touch to arrange a time slot. Remember, it's first come, first served, and slots are limited for this always-popular event in the calendar!
Singapore Tour

A fabulous morning for walking around Joo Chiat and Tiong Bahru for the St. Patrick’s Singapore Tours. Great to catch up with everyone and also meet new Irish friends in Singapore. Excellent tour guides by Jane's Singapore Tours - what a rich and colourful history in both of these districts.

Virtual St. Patrick's Day Parade March 17 2021
At the end of February we put out a call to the Irish Community in Singapore to create a St. Patricks Day parade amongst the organisations, societies and families here. We have had a really positive response and the result lies below. With over 150 Participants reflecting the Official, Cultural, Sporting and Familial spheres of the Irish in Singapore we can think of no better way to wish everyone here, home and abroad - Là Fheile Padraig 2021.
